About

Established in 2024, the Beaumont Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Sympoisum is a national educational meeting organised by the vascular surgery, endocrinology and infectious diseases teams at Beaumont Hospital, with the support of the RCSI Department of Surgery.

The symposium brings together healthcare professionals from across Ireland and abroad to share expertise, discuss emerging evidence and promote best practice in the prevention and management of diabetic foot disease.

Through a truly multidisciplinary approach, the programme features contributions from vascular surgery, endocrinology, infectious diseases, orthopaedics, podiatry, wound care, nursing and allied health professionals, alongside internationally recognised experts in diabetic foot care.

Following the success of our inaugural meeting in 2024, which attracted over 170 delegates from hospital and community settings across Ireland and Northern Ireland and received a highly commended citation at the Irish Healthcare Awards, the symposium continues to provide a valuable forum for education, collaboration and innovation in diabetic foot care.

Our aim is to improve patient outcomes by fostering knowledge and strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration across our healthcare system.
